Fieldtrip Information & Schedule (rev:7-11-18)

During the fall/spring, additional activities are posted on a classroom Fieldtrip Board. These boards will have sheets pertaining to activities we will offer AT the Center (In-House) and also those we offer OUTSIDE of the Center (Fieldtrip). In-House activities are included in your registration fee or your Fall Activity and Supply Fee. Fieldtrips are NOT prepaid and costs are collected prior to each event.

We ask that you do the following:

1. Sign yes or no if your child is going to participate. If the event falls on your child's regularly enrolled day and you do not wish for them to join us, you must provide alternate care for your child during the fieldtrip times. (WE DO NOT OFFER SEPARATE CHILDCARE DURING ANY OF OUR FIELDTRIP TIMES). If a fieldtrip falls on a day your child is NOT enrolled, but you would like for them to join in the fun, you must add them and a chaperone to our WAITING LIST; if the fieldtrip does not fall on their day you MUST provide a chaperone. IN-HOUSE activities are paid for in your enrollment fee/or fall fee and all children are welcome to attend during the times of these events but you MUST SIGN THEM UP TO BE ADDED TO THE EVENT if if it is not their regularly scheduled day.

2. Decide if you would like to chaperone. If yes, then please write the NUMBER of chaperones you wish to provide in the box under “I would like to chaperone this trip”. You need not sign your name on these forms as you have already given permission for your child to attend trips on our general permission slip included in your enrollment packet.

3. Decide if you plan to drive or ride on the bus. The cost of the trip is the cost of the trip regardless of whether you drive, walk, or ride the bus. We offer bus transportation, if you opt to drive, you must pay the trip price we are charging. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE.

The fees and due dates for every fieldtrip can be found in FOUR areas: monthly calendars, the Calendar of Events (included in your information packet), the fieldtrip papers which are posted on each class's fieldtrip board and lastly, on our website.

Fieldtrip fees are NOT CASHED until the event has taken place. This is done so that if an event does not take place (i.e. due to weather), then the funds can easily be returned without involving tuitions. Please note that there is NO REFUND for any trips unless they are canceled by the specific place that is offering the activity.  Fieldtrip payments should be made separately from your tuition payments and placed in the tuition box. You may pay with either cash or a check made payable to Stepping Stones. Regardless of participation, there is no refund of in-house activities at any time.

Remember, we cannot participate in fieldtrips without chaperones. We have only THREE bus trips planned for our Fall/Spring program (September to May). We ask that each child's family provide a chaperone to at least ONE of those field trips; anyone over the age of 18 may chaperone. We have had lots of aunts, uncles, and grandparents in the past who have enjoyed helping out!

All fieldtrips and In-House Activities are non-refundable.

Unless noted, the above-listed fieldtrips are "bus fieldtrips" scheduled away from the center.  During the year we have scheduled "in-house" activities where companies come into the center to do activities with the children.  The information and costs of these activities is also provided in your calendars & calendar of events
