Busy Bees - 4's

2021-2022 Supplies List

Welcome to our Pre-K Busy Bee classroom where everyday is a beehive of activity! This classroom is the last step your child makes before entering Kindergarten (unless they travel downstairs to our 5 year old classroom).

Our teachers take the job of preparing your child for Kindergarten very seriously, using the MSDE-approved 'Investigator Club Curriculum'. You will find our Bee's hard at work writing and tracing their names, letters, and numbers. Through the use of music, stories, and poems we will work on phonics, sight words, and language skills. In addition, we will explore graphing, art appreciation, social studies and science.

Homework is given each week to reinforce skills learned.

Busy Buzzing Through the Week

A weekly schedule in review.

With the introduction of our new InvestiGator Club curriculum comes a variation in the arrangement of our weekly activities. Each week we will cover the foundational skills and traditional classroom practices we’ve always had but each day of the week may look different than the week before.

Each week, through one of seven investigation themes, children will use their natural curiosity and hands-on activities to learn the foundational elements of their education: the alphabet, their numbers, to write and speak effectively, and phonics. They will use these skills to work on math and science activities, reading, writing, and investigating as well as their social and emotional growth and well-being.

Our goal with these changes is to continue to provide the highest quality educational experience possible so your child can gain the skills he or she needs to be a successful learner.

"Thank you so much for everything!!
I couldn't have asked for a better place to help raise my son. The staff is wonderful, always friendly, helpful, and really care about the kids."
